Sharjah24: Sharjah Department Human Resources (SDHR) celebrated on Monday the graduation of 60 participants from the Sharjah Programme for Training and Preparing Job Seekers, during two ceremonies held in the cities of Diba Al-Hisn and Khorfakkan. This event is part of a series of celebrations marking the graduation of the first batch of the programme, which includes a total of 155 graduates distributed across various cities and regions of the emirate.
Ceremony highlights
The first ceremony took place at the Diba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club Theater, where 30 graduates from the city were honored. This was followed by another ceremony at the Human Resources Department – Khorfakkan branch, which recognized 30 graduates from that city. The ceremonies were attended by His Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al-Zaabi, a member of the Executive Council of Sharjah, and the Director of the Human Resources Department, His Excellency Majid Hamad Al-Mari.
Intensive training programmes to enhance job market readiness
Participants underwent an intensive training programme lasting six months, from August 2024 to January 2025, which included a variety of specialized training programmes designed to enhance their skills and provide them with the modern knowledge required by the job market. These programmes included specialized training focused on technical, administrative, and practical skills needed in various sectors, as well as field training aimed at enabling participants to work in real environments to gain practical experience.
Speech by the head of the department: A clear vision for qualifying national talent
In his speech during the ceremony, His Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al-Zaabi emphasised that the programme embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, may God protect him, in empowering and qualifying national talent for the job market. He pointed out that the programme aims to equip job seekers with the necessary skills and knowledge through specialized training programmes and field training, thereby enhancing their employment opportunities in various sectors.
Al-Zaabi added that the graduation of this first batch, which includes 155 graduates from across the emirate, reflects the department's commitment to qualifying national cadres and enabling them to actively contribute to sustainable development.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Excellency Abdullah Al-Zaabi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all partners and supporters who contributed to the success of this programme, affirming that this achievement would not have been possible without their fruitful collaboration and ongoing support.

Graduates expressed their significant benefits from the programme. Halima Hassan Jassim Al-Owainey, one of the participants in the Sharjah Programme for Training and Preparing Job Seekers in Diba Al-Hisn, stated that this programme represents a turning point in her career, as she acquired practical skills and field experience that will open new doors for her in the job market. Additionally, Shaima Salem Al-Naqbi, a graduate of the programme from Khorfakkan, noted that the training and field preparation greatly contributed to developing her practical skills and provided her with a clear understanding of the job requirements in her desired field. Participants praised the quality and diversity of the training content, affirming that it enhanced their readiness to enter the job market with confidence and competence.
It is worth mentioning that the Sharjah Programme for Training and Preparing Job Seekers was launched under the generous directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, targeting the training and preparation of job seekers across various cities and regions of the emirate, including Sharjah, Khorfakkan, Kalba, Diba Al-Hisn, and the Central Region, as part of a strategic plan to enhance the efficiency of national cadres and boost their competitiveness in the job market.
