Sharjah 24: At the beginning of 2025, the "Intaj" Centre of the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) launched the “Printing Workshop” project, which prints graphics and logos on cups, bags, puzzle games, and others; with the highest quality and the latest devices.

Successful project

Maryam Al Hammadi, Director of the "Intaj" Centre, expressed her optimism about the success of this project, as it is in line with the talents of productive families, especially the Ibdaa package.

Training

She explained that the centre trained families who are members of the centre in the Ibdaa package, which is concerned with handicrafts, on how to print by a specialised training team.

The first phase began with training on how to use printing devices and place designs on them. The second phase came with marketing this service through the department’s platforms. The third phase is currently being implemented, which is concerned with receiving requests from institutions, departments, companies, and others.

Goal

As for the goal of the printing workshop, it is, according to Al Hammadi, to develop the skills of productive families and teach them new skills that are in line with fashion, develop their creativity, and take them out of the traditional mold, noting that many modern and innovative initiatives and projects will be implemented soon and will see the light soon as part of the 2025-2027 strategy.
