5.6 million people benefit from ERC's Ramadan charity programmes

Sharjah 24 – WAM: Dr Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) Authority, announced that 5.6 million people in the UAE and 53 countries worldwide will benefit from the ERC's Ramadan charity programmes. These initiatives include Ramadan Iftar, Zakat Al-Fitr, Eid clothing, Ramadan food parcels, and 'Break Fast' programmes, with an estimated cost of AED54.7 million.

ERC's Ramadan campaign launch

The announcement was made during a press conference at the ERC headquarters in Abu Dhabi, marking the launch of this year's Emirates Red Crescent Ramadan Campaign.

Addressing humanitarian challenges

Al Mazrouei highlighted that the Ramadan programmes aim to alleviate humanitarian challenges in many countries. Additionally, the campaign aligns with the 'Year of the Community' initiative, announced by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
