Mohammed bin Rashid attends ‘Fashion Friday’ at Meydan Racecourse

Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, attended the prestigious ‘Fashion Friday’ event at the Meydan Racecourse, marking a highlight of the Dubai Racing Carnival.

The event is renowned for its high-calibre races and attracts world-class competitors. The evening featured nine races with 99 horses participating for a total prize pool of AED10.53 million.

Prominent races and competitors

The centerpiece of the evening was the Group 1 Al Maktoum Challenge, a key race for the Dubai World Cup, which offered AED3.68 million in prize money. Defending champion Kabirkhan participated, adding excitement. Another highlight was the Group 1 Jebel Hatta, a lead-up to the Dubai Turf, with a prize pool of AED1.85 million.

Other notable races included the Al Fahidi Fort and Blue Point Sprint. Since its launch in 2024, ‘Fashion Friday’ has become a celebrated event, enhancing Dubai’s reputation as a global hub for horse racing and training.
