Sharjah24: Desert Police Park welcomed a delegation from the Emirates Association for Retired Citizens and Emirates Friends of Senior Citizens Association. This visit was part of a distinguished community initiative that included a series of recreational, awareness-raising, and diverse sports activities.
The event saw participation from 57 senior citizens, featuring sports segments in collaboration with the Sharjah Police Officers Club, alongside awareness activities focused on enhancing security, health, and social awareness, as well as recreational activities that added joy and happiness .
The Sharjah Police emphasised the importance of these initiatives in providing a safe and stimulating environment worthy of senior citizens, appreciating the positive role played by both associations in enhancing the quality of life for this important community group.
Amina Obaid Mohammed Al-Kamda, Secretary-General of the Emirates Retirees Association and Secretary-General of the Emirates Friends of Senior Citizens Association, praised the impact of these initiatives in fostering social cohesion and supporting their mental and physical health, commending the Sharjah Police for their support of initiatives that contribute to improving their quality of life.
At the conclusion of the initiative, senior citizens expressed their immense happiness in participating, appreciating the warm welcome and excellent organisation, noting that such initiatives leave a positive impact on them due to their significant role in promoting social solidarity and strengthening community bonds.
