Al Furjan Theatre: A community project to foster talent

Sharjah 24: Dr. Adnan Salloum, a theatre arts expert at the Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, discussed the goals of the Al Furjan Theatre, which is ongoing at Kshisha Park until January 9. The event is held under the theme "A Family that Loves Theatre."

Spreading theatre culture in Sharjah

Dr. Salloum explained that Al Furjan Theatre is a community-driven initiative designed to engage Sharjah’s residents and promote the culture of theater throughout the Emirate. The project aims to attract local talent to the Rubu' Qarn institutions.

A competitive platform for local talent

The performances in this session of Al Furjan Theatre result from intensive workshops led by professional trainers. Around 30 teams have been selected, competing for several awards, including the Best Trainer Award, Best Cooperative Family Award, Best Cooperative Team Award, and Best Cooperative Institution Award.

Bringing theatre to local communities

This project is focused on making theatre more accessible by bringing it directly to the communities. The performances feature stories from the neighbourhoods or historical events tied to those areas. The initiative is open to all age groups, allowing families to participate and enjoy the experience together.
