Sharjah 24 – AFP: Wolverhampton handed Manchester United a 2-0 defeat on Thursday in the 18th round of the English Premier League, further compounding the Red Devils' struggles.

Manchester United's ongoing struggles

The loss marks Manchester United's second consecutive defeat in the league and their third in all competitions. Following a 2-1 victory over Manchester City, United has failed to secure a win, losing to Tottenham in the League Cup quarter-finals and suffering a shock 3-0 loss to Bournemouth in their previous league match.

Wolverhampton climbs, United stumbles

Wolverhampton's win lifted them to 15 points, moving up to 17th place, while Manchester United remains in 14th with 22 points, following their fourth league loss of the season and fifth in all competitions.

Key moments

Wolverhampton took the lead in the 58th minute with a goal from Matheus Cunha, and Hwang Hee-chan sealed the win with a goal in the 9th minute of stoppage time.
