Sharjah 24: The judo team from Sharjah Sports Club has departed from Sharjah International Airport to Alexandria, Egypt, where they will undergo a preparatory training camp from December 25th until January 6th.
This training camp, supported by the Sharjah Sports Council, aims to enhance the team's technical skills and prepare them for upcoming competitions. The camp is being held in collaboration with Al Ittihad Alexandria Club.

The Sharjah judo delegation consists of 21 members, including a coach, assistant coach, and 18 athletes representing various age categories: juniors, cadets, and youth. The team is led by the team's manager, Ammar Al Yafai.

Engineer Hamid Shams Al Zarouni, Member of the Individual Sports Committee and supervisor of the judo team, stated that the camp provides a valuable opportunity for the athletes to increase their experience, interact with a different judo school, develop their combat skills, and acquire new expertise. This will better equip them for the local competitions the club aims to target.

He expressed his sincere gratitude to the Sharjah Sports Council for its continuous and unlimited support for individual sports, acknowledging the council's ongoing efforts in their development. He also highlighted that the club is confident in the team’s ability to continue delivering good results, as they have recently shown remarkable achievements.

The supervisor also thanked the club's board of directors for their ongoing attention and support, as well as the individual sports management, which is dedicated to developing the club’s teams and achieving excellence across all competitions, raising the club's flag in every tournament.
