UAE Karate Team to compete in the Arab Championship in Jordan

Sharjah 24: The UAE Karate Federation has announced that the national team will compete in the Arab Karate Championship, which will take place in Amman, Jordan. The competition will feature juniors, youth, and general public categories, starting tomorrow and lasting for three days, with 325 male and female players from various Arab countries participating.

Team mission led by key officials

The UAE team mission is led by Eng. Hamid Shamis Al Zarouni, Secretary-General of the UAE and Arab Federations and member of the Board of Directors of the West Asian Federation, along with Ahmed Salem Basalib, Director of National Teams.

UAE karate players competing in various categories

The UAE delegation includes nine players across different categories and weight divisions:

  • Nada Khamis (under 14, over 52 kg)
  • Faisal Al Khalidi (juniors, over 70 kg)
  • Khaled Al Kindi (juniors, under 63 kg)
  • Huda Hatem (juniors, under 47 kg)
  • Ali Saleh (youth, under 68 kg)
  • Rashid Al Saridi (youth, under 61 kg)
  • Sheikha Al Yafei (kata competitions, youth and women categories)
  • Saif Al Qaidi (under 21, under 84 kg)
  • Ibrahim Bakhit (under 21 and men’s category, under 60 kg)

President of UAE Karate Federation expresses confidence

Major General (Ret.) Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razouqi, President of the UAE and Asian Federations and Vice President of the International Federation, expressed confidence in the national team's ability to perform well in the championship. He emphasised that while the competition will be tough, it provides an excellent opportunity for the players to showcase their skills and achieve remarkable results.
