It includes educational and awareness programmes, and this year it focuses on raising awareness of the “Safe Digital Life Ambassadors” programme, which the department launched a year ago to educate children on how to deal with digital means and devices and not be exploited by some groups and parties.
Naema Al Zarouni, Director of the Social Education Department, stated that the daily programmes will continue throughout the festival period, on the department’s platform at the festival, with a group of values, prevention, protection and awareness. These programmes include presenting programmes to instill noble moral values, prevention and protection programmes, and purposeful awareness programmes in a stimulating manner, such as competitions between children or between two teams of the public. Training workshops are also being implemented for children and their families to enhance social education through community participation.
