Sharjah24: Mohammed Abdullah Al Zarouni, Director of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) Representative Office in Sharjah, said we celebrated our strategic partners and media representatives for their crucial and prominent role in achieving the Ministry of Health and Prevention’s objectives through the Heat Stress and Illness Prevention campaign 2024, launched last month under the theme "Your Safety is Our Goal," in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah.
Al Zarouni added that the campaign targeted over 6,000 workers across various cities and regions of Sharjah, working in partnership with federal, local, and private sector stakeholders. The goal was to raise health awareness among the community about the risks of heat exposure and support workers with preventive measures to avoid heat stress or related illnesses. Thanks to these efforts, hospital admissions for heat-related illnesses have decreased during the peak summer months.
