Sharjah24: In a step aimed at enhancing scientific and technical cooperation in the field of sports, the Sharjah Women's Sports organised a field visit to three universities and research laboratories in France during the period from November 10 to 16, 2024.
The delegation of the foundation included Dr. Moukhtar Shattara, Director of the Scientific Research and Performance Development Center, and Mariam Al-Shehhi, a physiology specialist at the scientific center. The visit included the University of Poitiers, Jean Monnet University Saint-Etienne, and the University of Burgundy - Dijon, where the delegation was briefed on the latest research and projects carried out at those universities.
The foundation stated that the visit was intended to exchange experiences and discuss future scientific cooperation opportunities, with a focus on signing partnership agreements aimed at developing sports performance and enhancing physical health. It also emphasised the importance of this step in supporting women's sports and empowering female athletes through the application of the latest technological innovations.
This visit is part of the foundation's strategy to enhance scientific research in the field of women's sports and to cement the position of the Sharjah Women's Sports as a leading center in the development of women's sports locally and internationally.
