His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, approved a reduction in the sale and purchase fees for transactions that will be executed at the ACRES Real Estate Exhibition 2025. The move aims to further solidify Sharjah’s position as leading global destination for real estate investment.
Organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) in collaboration with the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD), the exhibition will take place from January 22 to 25, 2025, at Expo Centre Sharjah. It will host a distinguished lineup of major real estate development and investment companies from the UAE and the region, alongside new participants joining for the first time.
The event is expected to attract a wide audience of real estate enthusiasts, investors and opportunity seekers, offering an ideal platform to explore the latest market trends, uncover lucrative investment opportunities, and access exclusive offers and special deals provided by the exhibiting companies.
The 2025 edition is also set to feature the launch of several new and groundbreaking real estate projects, making their debut at the exhibition.
H.E. Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director-General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD), stated, "The decision of Sharjah’s Executive Council, headed by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al-Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Executive Council, to reduce the selling and buying fees at the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition "ACRES 2025”, reflects the emirate's commitment to supporting the real estate and enhancing its attractiveness to investors of various nationalities."
Al-Shamsi added: "The decision includes a reduction of the selling fees by 0.5% for real estate developers, and the purchase fees by 1% for UAE and GCC citizens, and by 2% for other nationalities. This marks a qualitative step that will increase sales volume and attract new investors from local and foreign capitals to invest in Sharjah’s real estate. It will also contribute to strengthening the emirate's position as a promising investment destination and an ideal environment for living and working."
His Excellency also pointed out that the exhibition is considered a strategic platform to support real estate development and promote investment opportunities in the emirate.
Al-Shamsi concluded his statement by saying: "We are confident that this step will contribute to achieving sustainable growth for the real estate sector and enhancing Sharjah's position as a leading destination for real estate investment at the local and international levels, in line with the emirate's vision and development ambitions."
Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Representative Committee of the Real Estate Sector Business Group at SCCI and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the ACRES Real Estate Exhibition, lauded the unwavering support and patronage of H.H.
