The celebration, which was held at the Heritage Village, was attended by Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler’s Office in Kalba, Khamis Al Mazrouei, Wali of Wadi Al Helo, a crowd of directors and representatives of government departments, and residents of the region.
Omair Saeed Al Mazrouei, Director of Wadi Al Helo Office in Kalba Municipality, and coordinator of the ceremony, said that it had a carnival and heritage character, and aimed to enhance the national spirit and values of loyalty and belonging to the homeland.
He added in statements to Sharjah 24 that a large number of entities, institutions, productive families, and farm owners participated in the ceremony, which was accompanied by a diverse exhibition of artistic activities, traditional crafts, and popular foods.
He explained that the theatrical segments varied between the operetta, which was presented by students of Wadi Al-Helou schools, poems and poetry groups. The ceremony included a distinguished participation by the Department of Culture with many workshops, in addition to photography and sculpture exhibitions.
