Sharjah 24: The Department of Municipal Affairs in Sharjah proudly announced its participation in the 53rd Union Day celebrations of the United Arab Emirates, marking the occasion alongside the Emirate of Sharjah.
From November 21st to December 2nd, the department is hosting a series of activities at Sharjah National Park, inviting visitors to join in the festivities and celebrate the values of unity and loyalty in an atmosphere filled with joy, pride, and honour.
His Excellency Eng. Omar Khalfan bin Huraimel Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs, emphasised the department’s dedication to commemorating this cherished and timeless occasion. He expressed the department’s commitment to celebrating Union Day with the wise leadership and citizens of the UAE, offering heartfelt congratulations to both the leadership and the people on this monumental occasion.
He further highlighted that Union Day celebrations strengthen the social fabric of the community, fostering loyalty and belonging. His Excellency pointed out that the Emirate of Sharjah continues its steady progress toward the future, guided by its rich heritage and values, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
He also extended his sincere gratitude to the Sharjah Emirate Union Day Celebrations Committee, headed by His Excellency Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, for their dedicated efforts in organising these exceptional celebrations, which reflect the community’s love for the nation and deep appreciation for its leadership.
In a similar vein, His Excellency Sheikh Eng. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of the Department of Municipal Affairs, remarked that the celebration reflects Sharjah’s commitment to preserving its cultural heritage and promoting national unity. The department’s participation features a heritage pavilion, live cultural performances, and interactive educational workshops, offering visitors an opportunity to explore the UAE’s rich civilisation and deep-rooted traditions.
