Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and President of Abu Dhabi University’s Board of Trustees, chaired the university's board meeting, highlighting the critical role of education in shaping national unity, social cohesion, and pride in identity. He emphasized the importance of modernity, preparing for future challenges, and promoting global values of tolerance and peace.
Sheikh Hamdan underscored that education has been a foundational pillar in the UAE since the formation of the union, in line with the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He was committed to making education a unifying force that shaped the nation's aspirations and upheld Emirati values. Sheikh Hamdan also noted that the UAE's education system has been integral to developing a skilled workforce, equipping Emiratis with the tools needed to meet the country's diverse development goals.
Sheikh Hamdan expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and other leadership members. During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan praised Abu Dhabi University for its academic excellence and significant community contributions on national, regional, and international levels.
