Sharjah24: Dr. Rached Dhaouadi, Professor of Electrical Engineering at the American University of Sharjah (AUS), announced that the recent energy conference marks the seventh event in a distinguished series dedicated to advancements in power engineering.
He said that the conference, themed "Electric Power and Energy Conversion Systems," has traditionally focused on diverse topics within power engineering, with an emphasis on renewable energy in recent years. However, Dr. Dhaouadi noted a shift in focus this year toward Artificial Intelligence (AI).
As AI continues to emerge as a transformative technology, this year’s conference featured technical sessions on AI and machine learning applications in energy systems, as well as traditional topics like electric machines and renewable energy. Dr. Dhaouadi emphasised the conference's role in fostering collaboration, noting, “This conference is a good way to integrate these areas and bring people together.” The event served as a platform for experts, researchers, and industry professionals to explore the integration of AI in energy conversion, paving the way for innovative developments in the field.
