Sharjah24: In celebration of the UAE's 53rd National Day, the Sharjah Classic Cars Club will launch the second "Masar 71 Rally" on 2 December.
This 410-kilometre event will guide participants through six significant locations in Sharjah, starting at the Sharjah Classic Car Museum and progressing to Al Badayer Retreat, Sharjah Safari, Al Rafisah Retreat in KhorFakkan, Khor Fakkan Amphitheatre, and Dibba Al Hisn before concluding back at the museum. This event will highlight Sharjah’s vibrant heritage and varied natural beauty.

Dr Mohammed bin Butti Al Hajiri, Vice Chairman of the Club’s Board, conveyed his excitement, noting the rally’s aim to merge cultural celebration with a passion for classic cars, showcasing vehicles that trace back to the UAE's establishment in 1971. "This rally brings heritage and innovation together, enhancing Sharjah's standing as a destination that harmonises history with tourism," he stated.

The official sponsor of the rally, Sharjah Driving Institute, will offer logistical support, and Emirates Auctions will help manage event logistics. CEO Tareq Abdul Rahman Al Saleh stated, "Our backing for Masar 71 strengthens national values and honours the UAE's impressive development."

The rally encourages safe and picturesque travel by recognising drivers who successfully finish at each station. At each station, participants will receive event passports, and the rally will conclude with the awarding of commemorative shields to the winners.

Drivers wishing to join must pre-register and confirm that their vehicles, which should be at least 30 years old, are in excellent mechanical condition and adhere to speed regulations and other necessary requirements.
