Sharjah 24: The Arabic Language Educational Centre for Gulf States (ALECGS), one of the bodies of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS), participates in 43rd Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), organised by the Sharjah Book Authority, and held at the Expo Centre in Sharjah.
SIBF is one of the most important cultural exhibitions in the region, as it attracts many readers and specialists in the field from inside and outside the Emirates.
ALECGS pavilion was honoured by the visit of Their Excellencies, heads of language academies and language academies, at the centre's headquarters at SIBF.

ALECGS participation came within the directives and plan of ABEGS and its agencies in the member states, which aims to disseminate the scientific production of the Bureau and its agencies in various fields of education and teaching, by offering scientific publications to relevant and specialised institutions as well as visitors to SIBF, in addition to marketing the scientific production, and consolidating the presence of ABEGS and its agencies in such scientific and cultural fora. 

Dr. Issa Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of ALECGS, said that the centre participation comes to display a number of new publications in the field of the Arabic language that are important for teaching and learning Arabic, including, but not limited to, the reference framework for teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers: authorship, education and training, which is the first integrated reference framework in the world in the field of teaching the Arabic language to non-Arabic speakers. Moreover, a study on developing electronic reading skills for secondary school students, and a reference framework for employing technology in teaching and learning the Arabic language, in addition to 5 publications for the Seventh International Arabic Language Conference in Sharjah. 

Al Hammadi discussed ABEGS latest publications in various fields of education, including, but not limited to, education in the Gulf States towards sustainable development, fairness in grading, the hidden meanings in the mind of the adolescent, promoting the culture of volunteer work, strategies and visions of the digital age of educational technology, etc. 

Al Hammadi pointed out that ALECGS is keen on permanent and continuous participation in such events to provide the opportunity for interaction and communication between creators of cultural, intellectual, scientific and creative production and readers of different tendencies and generations, whereas ALECGS will organise a seminar on the sidelines of SIBF entitled: ALECGS efforts in the field of developing the teaching and learning of reading, presented by His Excellency Dr. Issa Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of ALECGS.
