Sharjah24: The Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) is set to host the 5th annual MENA Innovation Technology Transfer Forum on November 26, 2024, under the theme ‘The Golden Triangle - The Anchor of Government, Academia, and Industry’.
Alongside the flagship forum, Sharjah will also welcome the regional meeting of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) for the West Asia and North Africa (WANA) division. The meeting will highlight the vital role of tech parks in facilitating growth and innovation across the region.The dual event consolidates Sharjah’s status as a regional hub for technology, innovation, and sustainability.

The MENA ITT Forum will bring together over 300 participants and more than 20 keynote speakers, including leaders, researchers, and policymakers from around the world. This year’s theme highlights the importance of collaboration among government, academia, and industry to foster sustainable development and address global challenges such as climate resilience.

Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTI Park and Regional Director of the IASP WANA division, said: "Hosting both the MENA Innovation Technology Transfer Forum and the IASP WANA regional meeting in Sharjah reinforces SRTI Park’s role as a centre for impactful discussions and advancements in technology and sustainability. The forum will cover critical topics including greenhouse gas reduction, digital transformation, water conservation technologies, and advancements in renewable energy and smart city planning. Sessions will also address intellectual property challenges and highlight best practices in technology transfer. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), these discussions underscore SRTI Park's dedication to supporting a knowledge-based economy and sustainable future.

The IASP WANA regional meeting will gather representatives from leading science and technology parks in the region, fostering connections across West Asia and North Africa. This gathering offers a unique platform for participants to explore synergies, share best practices, and forge partnerships that drive regional and international technological progress.

Sharjah's role as the host of these events demonstrates its commitment to sustainable innovation, with SRTI Park providing a supportive ecosystem for pioneering projects in green technology, smart cities, and advanced manufacturing.
