Sharjah24: The Sharjah Department of Human Resources has launched the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety International Program at the Regional Center for Educational Planning. This initiative aims to foster safe practices within work environments, equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills to implement best practices in health and safety. The goal is to empower them to become leaders in safety, capable of enhancing workplace conditions and minimizing risks to create safer and healthier environments for all.
The training program is designed for 18 candidates who are health and safety specialists in Sharjah's government institutions. It focuses on developing their competencies in risk management and improving workplace conditions. Additionally, it helps participants understand and apply both local and international laws and regulations related to health and safety.

The curriculum covers a range of important topics, including identifying potential risks and accident causes, assessing risks, and implementing controls in occupational safety and health. Participants learn about methods to prevent occupational diseases, the significance of mental health in the workplace, and strategies for managing psychological pressures in work settings.

Training also encompasses the risks related to chemicals, biological materials, and equipment, as well as the effects of mental health on the workplace. Participants are guided in developing effective strategies to bolster health and safety standards in their organizations.

Sharjah Resources organizes this program to highlight the significance of the NEBOSH International Certificate, a globally recognized benchmark that serves as a competitive advantage in various business sectors, ultimately enhancing professional efficiency.
