Sharjah 24: Al Qassimi Women's and Children's Hospital, part of the Emirates Health Services (EHS), hosted the 3rd 13th International Pediatric Conference,IPC, and the 4th Emirati Pediatric Critical Care Conference ,EPCCC,” from November 1 to 3, 2024, at the Movenpick Grand Al Bustan in Dubai.
Themed “Pediatric Medicine Innovation: Building Bridges for Future Generations,” the event brought together distinguished experts from around the globe to discuss the latest advancements in pediatrics, including diagnostic, preventive, and treatment innovations, as well as critical healthcare for children.

His Excellency Dr. Essam Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Medical Services Sector at EHS, emphasised that the conference aligns with the UAE's leadership vision, which prioritises professional development and ongoing medical education, viewing health as a cornerstone of sustainable development, particularly regarding children's health. He noted that the event underscores EHS’s commitment to adopting best practices in healthcare, bolstering the UAE's status as a leading global medical and scientific hub.

Dr. Safia Saif Al Khaja, Director of Al Qassimi Women's and Children's Hospital in Sharjah, expressed the hospital's dedication to fostering knowledge and collaboration among specialists, researchers, and policymakers. She stated that the conference's outcomes would significantly benefit children's health and contribute to the UAE's reputation as a premier destination for medical innovation, providing sustainable solutions that address both current and future needs.

Dr. Amal Al Sharif, a pediatric consultant and head of the pediatric department, highlighted the conference as a vital platform for international collaboration in pediatrics, facilitating advancements in treatment protocols and care methods. She noted that the discussions would focus on the future of pediatric healthcare, covering modern innovations and research that support the development of a robust health system capable of meeting the growing demand for specialised pediatric care.
