Sharjah24: Expo Centre Sharjah (ECS) has unveiled the agenda for the Middle East Electric Vehicle Show, scheduled to be launched from October 15 to 18, 2025 at the Centre. The event is set to host over 150 exhibitors from 30 countries, featuring leading global manufacturers and suppliers in the EV industry.
The announcement was made during a business meeting held by ECS with representatives of the exhibiting companies and brands. The meeting was attended by H.E. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, and David Wang, Chairman and CEO of MIE Events, the organiser of Middle East Electric Vehicle Show, along with officials from both sides.
During the meeting, attendees discussed the event's agenda, which includes a two-day conference featuring over 50 speakers who will share, throughout 20 sessions, their insights and experiences in the electric transport sector.
Key topics include the Impact of UAE government initiatives on accelerating the shift to green and sustainable transport and EV adoption in commercial fleets, the promising investment opportunities in the EV ecosystem, and the EV supply chain challenges and solutions. A raft of panel discussions, keynotes, and presentations on the current and future state of electric-powered transportation are also included on the agenda.
According to the agenda, the Middle East Electric Vehicle Show will witness the participation of more than 10 sectors related to EV industry. These include electric bicycles, hydrogen vehicles, and electric transportation services providers, such as manufacturers of EV charging infrastructure and hydrogen and electric energy suppliers. Other exhibiting sectors include automotive dealerships (car dealers) and fuel cell technology, systems and management solutions specialists.
The show will also feature components and systems of electric vehicles such as motors and electronic control units, with participation from providers of charging services and integrated renewable energy solutions.
In his speech, H.E. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa welcomed the attendees, expressing his pleasure at announcing the launch of the inaugural edition of the Middle East Electric Vehicle Show.
He emphasised that the Middle East Electric Vehicle Show serves as an important platform for unifying efforts towards shaping the future of sustainable transport, with the extensive participation of top global manufacturers, suppliers, experts, speakers, and visionary leaders in the electric transport industry.
By hosting this event, Expo Centre Sharjah reaffirms its commitment to supporting the UAE’s ongoing efforts to lead in sustainable transport, reduce the carbon footprint, and work towards the UAE's Net Zero 2050 Strategy. It’s a clear step towards the circular economy goal, further promoting sustainable economic development.
Al Midfa noted that the electric vehicle sector is truly a game-changer for global industry and that hosting this kind of specialised exhibitions is key to staying connected with the global shifts toward sustainable technology and its latest industrial applications in transportation.
The Middle East Electric Vehicle Show 2025 will also provide an important platform for EV manufacturers and experts as well as technology enthusiasts to explore and showcase the latest trends and innovations in the field, share experiences and insights, and build strategic and impactful partnerships that drive progress in the rapidly growing EV sector on both local and international levels.
Al Midfa added that the global electric vehicle market is projected to reach a staggering US$1.39 trillion by 2029, while the UAE’s hybrid and electric vehicle market is expected to surge to US$5.19 billion by 2029, with an impressive annual growth rate of 31.1 percent starting in 2024.
For his part, David Wang expressed his gratitude to Expo Centre Sharjah for its unwavering support in facilitating the launch of Middle East Electric Vehicle Show.
