Sharjah24: The 20th edition of the International Education Show concluded with resounding success at Expo Centre Sharjah on Saturday evening.
Organised by the Centre with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the event attracted more than 25,000 visitors, including students and parents, throughout its four-day run. 

With participation of more than 125 renowned universities and academic institutions representing over 20 countries, the exhibition was a key platform for connecting prospective students with higher education opportunities.

This year’s edition offered visitors a unique opportunity to explore a comprehensive array of academic programmes across various specialisations, including medicine, engineering, business administration, and information technonlogy, among other disciplines that align with today's labour market needs and demands.

Universities and educational and academic institutions from Canada, UK, Bahrain, Malaysia, India, Cyprus, and other countries showcased their diverse academic offerings, presenting a comprehensive selection for prospective students. 

UAE universities stood out at the exhibition attracting a growing number of students with their distinguished programmes and academic offerings in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, programming, and other advanced sciences. 

UAE education institutions are experiencing rapid growth and an increasing influx of students seeking academic opportunities that align with their personal goals and evolving job market demands.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, emphasised that the International Education Show is a prominent event that solidifies Expo Sharjah's leadership in organising specialised exhibitions. 

The exhibition provides a strategic platform for both local and international educational institutions to engage with prospective students and present academic programmes that open new horizons for achieving their educational aspirations, equipping them to succeed in emerging fields and future job markets.

Al Midfa noted that the International Education Show’s 20th edition exceeded expectations in terms of student and parent turnout, featuring top universities and educational institutions renowned for their academic excellence. Leveraging the interactive platform offered by Expo Sharjah, these institutions showcased their commitment to advanced curricula and international educational standards. 

The show offered prospective students excellent opportunities to explore a plethora of world-class higher education programmes and educational options across different disciplines, colleges, and institutes. 

Visitors also learned about the admission requirements of key participating universities, discovered advanced higher education curricula, and gained insights into different academic post-graduate scholarships and admission criteria and requirements of top universities. 

University representatives and academic advisors taking part in the exhibition play a pivotal role in guiding students toward specialisations that meet labour market demands. This strategic guidance ensures educational offerings align with future workforce needs.

A significant number of exhibitors praised the efforts of Expo Centre Sharjah in organising the exhibition, which served as a valuable platform to showcase their educational and training programmes to a broad audience of visitors.

The exhibition also facilitated the exchange of experiences and insights into the latest educational methods and practices. Moreover, it provided universities with a direct communication channel to engage face-to-face with prospective students, offering in-depth guidance on registration processes and available academic programmes.
