Meanwhile, Sarah Al Muhairi, Assistant Curator at the SAF, contributed to the evaluation team for the exhibition “Vantage Point Sharjah."
Speaking exclusively to "Sharjah 24," Abou El Fetouh confirmed that the “A Shadow of a Shadow” exhibition by artist William Kentridge showcases the artist's work from 1966 to the present. The exhibition highlights his theatrical, musical, and operatic performances through a display of drawings, dolls, fashion models, animated videos, as well as curtains and theatrical accessories.
Al Muhairi noted that the theme of the Vantage Point Sharjah exhibition “If I Were Another,” is derived from a poem by Mahmoud Darwish. The exhibition features works by four international artists: Sara Kontar, Thasil Suhara Backer, Arum Dayu, and Mosfiqur Rahman Johan, bringing together diverse voices and experiences that reflect the spirit of experimentation in contemporary photography.
"The Search for an Open Enigma" exhibition, showcasing the late Brazilian artist Antonio Dias, is currently taking place at Al Hamriyah Studios. This marks the artist's first solo exhibition in the region, celebrating the diverse and revolutionary aspects of his artistic legacy.
The exhibition features Dias's work, known for its exploration of material and conceptual art, as it tackles complex social and political issues through a diverse range of artistic media.
