Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has met with Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed to Al-Alimi the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his wishes for further stability and prosperity for Yemen and its people.
For his part, Al-Alimi conveyed his greetings to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and his wishes for further progress and prosperity for the UAE and its people.
Sheikh Abdullah and Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi discussed the relations between the two brotherly countries, the situation in Yemen, and a range of issues of common interest.
Sheikh Abdullah affirmed during the meeting the UAE's support for all efforts to bring security, stability, and prosperity for Yemen and its people.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Mohamed Abushahab, Permanent Representative of the UAE to the United Nations.
