Dibba Al Hisn Parents Council holds electronic awareness workshop

Sharjah 24: The Dibba Al Hisn Parents Council, affiliated with the Sharjah Districts Affairs Department, in cooperation with the Sharjah Police, organised a virtual awareness workshop entitled (Electronic Awareness) to raise awareness among parents and community members about electronic risks and how to deal with them.
The workshop, which was held, on Friday, came as part of the department’s strategic goal of raising awareness and enhancing general community culture. 

It also represented an important opportunity to enhance electronic awareness and ensure the protection of individuals from digital risks, reflecting the commitment of the Sharjah Districts Affairs Department and Sharjah Police to achieving a safe and reliable electronic environment.

The workshop was opened by Aisha Rashid Al Tunaiji from the council with a welcoming speech in which she stressed the importance of electronic awareness in protecting individuals and society.

The workshop was presented by First warrant officer Sadeq Ali Ramadan from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Sharjah Police.

The workshop covered several aspects, including raising parents’ awareness of electronic risks and ways to avoid them and secure social media accounts. The presenter also discussed the importance of parents following up on their children and activating the parental control feature on YouTube and electronic games.

Sadiq Ali Ramadan reviewed the guide to securing social media accounts and how to protect them from hacking. He also stressed the importance of being cautious of the dangers of modern technology that affect children.

His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Hassan Al Alawi Al Dhahouri, Member of the Sharjah Consultative Council, participated in the workshop and expressed his praise and thanks to the Dibba Al Hisn Parents Council and the Sharjah Police for their contribution to spreading awareness and educating members of society. His Excellency recommended holding more of these awareness workshops in person.

In conclusion, Saud Salem Tamim Al Riyami, Vice Chairman of the Parents Council, thanked Sadiq Ali Ramadan for his efforts in presenting the workshop and spreading awareness among members of society.
