Sharjah24: Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club (DAHSCC) has launched an innovative "School Textbook Recycling" project, designed to enhance environmental awareness, aiming to motivate both players and the local community to engage in protecting the environment.

In line with the UAE's Sustainable Development Goals 2030, this initiative reflects the club's commitment to environmental sustainability.

According to Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mutawa, the Chairman of the club, the project has a major focus on collecting used textbooks for recycling and recycling, rather than simply throwing them away.

Al-Mutawa emphasised that this initiative indicates the club's commitment to promoting sustainability and social responsibility among members. The initiative also aims to increase awareness about the importance of resource reuse, providing an opportunity for people to engage in such vital community activities.

The initiative includes collecting used school textbooks from all age groups, supported by community awareness campaigns and events to encourage active participation in recycling and reusing the materials.

Al-Mutawa expressed hope that the initiative would make a real difference in the environment and encourage individuals to adopt sustainability values.
