Sharjah 24: On Friday, August 16, the delegation of distinguished players from the Sharjah Clubs for Team Sports returned after the conclusion of their external camp in Bosnia. The camp, organised by the Sharjah Sports Council, began on August 5 and included 60 players under the age of 16 from basketball, handball, and volleyball teams.
The camp featured daily training sessions and nine friendly matches to engage with European teams, under the supervision of a group of local coaches in collaboration with team sports experts from the Council's Department of Sports Affairs and Development.
Mohammed Obaid Al Hussan, Head of the Delegation and Director of the Department of Sports and Development Affairs, expressed his satisfaction with the positive outcomes of the camp, which took place before the start of the local sports season. He stated that the camp achieved its objectives thanks to the players' discipline and commitment to the training programmes and plans set for them by the coaches and experts over the past period.
He also pointed out that the technical staff was keen on diversifying the training methods with the teams they played against to broaden the scope of interaction, allowing the players to gain the maximum possible benefit from the camp. He affirmed that the results would be practically evident through their performance with their teams after the season begins.
