Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah has approved a new bike path project in the city of Khorfakkan.
The path will run along the existing water canal between the Zubarah and Luluiah areas, spanning 2,200 metres on each side and 4 metres wide. The project is expected to cost AED 5 million.
Engineer Youssef Khamis Al-Othmani, Chairman of Sharjah's Roads and Transport Authority, announced the news during a phone-in on Sharjah Radio and Television's "Direct Line" programme.
