Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Football Club, in partnership with the Health and Sports Medicine Department, has contracted with Dr. Joaquin Mas, a former Real Madrid team doctor who arrived in Sharjah after agreeing to a seven-year contract with the team.
Dr. Joaquin Mas (47 years old) graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Barcelona and has numerous additional certifications in sports medicine. He began his sports medicine profession in 2006 and has since worked with a number of Spanish league clubs.
Dr. Mas has enjoyed considerable success with the teams he has represented, winning eleven titles, including the UEFA Champions League, the Spanish League and Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi in 2017. He has also won the UEFA Super Cup, the Spanish Super Cup, and the Chinese Cup title.
