Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), stated that the SIH launched the heritage awareness campaign through the SIH’s events and activities department, to raise awareness of Emirati heritage through a series of lectures and events, which will eventually lead to instill cultural heritage in the hearts of new generations.
His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam explained that the campaign emphasises the importance of heritage by highlighting some of the Emirati environments, customs and traditions, and some popular crafts and industries, in a dialogue between members of society, especially children.
Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24,” Al Musallam stated that the campaign started on July 3 and 4, addressing the features of the marine environment in the UAE, and the second part begins, on Monday, until July 11, with a number of workshops, educational activities and lectures, indicating that the campaign will continue until the end of the year, with the aim of raising public awareness of the cultural heritage in Sharjah.
