Sharjah 24: Dr. Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, expressed his joy regarding the emirate of Sharjah being celebrated as the Guest of Honour at the Thessaloniki International Book Fair 2024. He noted that this honour not only represents the UAE and Sharjah at a major cultural event, but also demonstrates the global connection and relationships the UAE maintains with various countries worldwide.
“The celebration of the UAE and Sharjah as the first Arab country and city to be the Guest of Honour is a unique opportunity to advance cultural exchange and communication between our nations. It is a significant step towards deepening bilateral relations and elevating mutual understanding to new levels,” Al Dhaheri stated.
UAE Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic added: “We extend our appreciation to the prominent Emirati cultural, literary, and intellectual figures whose participation enriched this event, serving as outstanding ambassadors of the UAE here in Thessaloniki.
