The session was presented by Nora Riyadh Nahas, a behavioural and educational consultant, and Lina Bayazid, an educational consultant for parents and teachers.
Nahas stated that the session discussed the impact of social media platforms on the psychological and social development of children and how parents and teachers can guide the use of these platforms in a way that contributes to the proper upbringing of children.
She emphasised, in remarks to "Sharjah 24,” the importance of the role played by parents and educators in monitoring and guiding children when they use social media platforms, saying: "We must be aware of the content our children are exposed to and help them understand how to deal with the information they acquire from these platforms."
Nahas added that the session discussed the appropriate ages for children to start using these platforms, the necessary guidelines to protect them in the digital space, and the importance of continuous education for parents on how to use technology safely and effectively.
