Sharjah Consultative Council hosts Chinese delegation

Sharjah24: The Consultative Council of Sharjah welcomed a delegation from China comprising representatives from various economic sectors. The meeting served as a platform to discuss avenues of development and consultation on mutually relevant economic issues. The delegation was briefed on Sharjah's achievements in economic, tourism, energy, environmental, and infrastructural domains, underlining the Emirate's adoption of an economic diversification policy.
His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council, received the delegation at the Council's headquarters in Sharjah. Also present were His Excellency Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Secretary-General of the Consultative Council, along with other council members.

The Chinese delegation included Yi Bing, founder of Bangoul Research Center, Chao Heiguan, founder of TMT Media in China, Jiao Shan, Director of Bangoul Research Center in Shenzhen, Dr. Chaoyi Chu, Director of Bangoul Institute for the Middle East, Dr. Wen Jing, Secretary-General of Bangoul Institute for the Middle East, Song Wu, founder of Fujian Zhongjian Construction Co. Ltd., and Dr. Mohammed Abdul Khaliq Bamatterf, Advisor at Bangoul Institute for the Middle East.

Dr. Al Nuaimi reiterated Sharjah's commitment to enhancing economic and trade relations with China, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who prioritises bolstering economic and developmental aspects in the Emirate.

He emphasised the Council's readiness to support and facilitate all efforts aimed at enhancing economic cooperation between Sharjah and China, striving for further progress and prosperity in bilateral relations.

The meeting focused on exploring and enhancing economic cooperation opportunities between Sharjah and China. Discussions revolved around several key aspects, including fostering strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors in Sharjah and China to boost trade and investment exchanges between the two countries.

Moreover, opportunities for joint investment were explored, particularly in China and Sharjah's capital markets, alongside available opportunities in other global deals, aiming to enhance economic growth and achieve mutual benefits. In a related context, investment potentials in Sharjah's real estate market were reviewed, aiming to provide suitable opportunities for Chinese investors in this vital sector.

The Chinese delegation commended Sharjah's remarkable development across all levels and expressed deep appreciation for the efforts made by the Emirate of Sharjah in enhancing economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
