SMTC polishes students' skills at graduation exhibition

Sharjah24: Sharjah Media Training Center (SMTC) , affiliated with Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, in collaboration with Sharjah Radio, participated on Monday, in the 16th exhibition of graduation projects for the College of Communication at the University of Sharjah. The event was held under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, under the theme "Supporting Employment".
Sharjah Media Training Center and Sharjah Radio presented two workshops titled "Eloquent Language, Correct Writing." The first workshop focused on text preparation and proofreading, presented by Arwa Badawi, who discussed the concept of preparation, its types, variations in language, and its elements. The second workshop covered the fundamentals of radio program presentation, delivered by media presenter Aisha Al Hammoudi, who addressed the nature of radio presentation, the key elements of a successful episode, and the process of voice preparation for recording. The workshops also included practical exercises conducted by the trainees, involving the preparation and presentation of recorded programs based on what they learned.

Shaima Abdullah Abdulrahim, Director of Sharjah Media Training Center, stated that participation in the graduation projects exhibition for the College of Communication at the University of Sharjah aligns with the Center's mission of qualifying, refining, and discovering Emirati talents in the field of media, as well as equipping graduates seeking employment in this field with the necessary skills for radio and television work.

Shaima Abdullah Abdulrahim emphasized that such exhibitions contribute to enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Sharjah Media Training Center and the University of Sharjah. The Training Center is keen on participating in these exhibitions and bridging the cooperation in various training fields. She noted that Sharjah Broadcasting Authority attaches great importance to attracting University of Sharjah graduates and utilizes all its resources to provide practical training for students and graduates, preparing them for the job market and launching their professional careers.
