Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, underscored the importance of the ongoing work to establish more nurseries in the second phase of this transformative educational project. This initiative, designed to cater to children's needs, monitor and enhance educational institutions, and provide them with specialized staff, is a cornerstone of our commitment to providing a strong educational and scientific foundation for our children's future. His Highness emphasized that the project's reach extends to all regions in the emirate, with a comprehensive education sponsorship from nursery to university.
This came during the speech of His Highness, which he delivered at the opening of the Wasit Nursery building on Monday morning. His Highness praised the significant role of Sharjah Private Education Authority and Sharjah Education Academy in supervising and continuously following up on private nurseries and schools in Sharjah by signing agreements with international expert houses in these fields to advance Educational institutions in various aspects and services required for teaching, as well as training and qualifying principals and teachers in them, and supervising the teaching of the Arabic language and Islamic studies in all schools by recruiting specialized teachers and subsidizing their salaries on a par with government employees, to achieve the stability required for teaching these two subjects due to their importance. His Highness expressed his satisfaction with what the teachers presented, which appeared in the students' Arabic and Islamic studies results.
His Highness directed Sharjah Education Academy to undertake administrative, pedagogical, and educational supervision over the nurseries affiliated with the Emirate of Sharjah government departments to develop their standards to become among the best educational nurseries.

His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, addressed the importance of monitoring and evaluating the standards of nurseries through the agreements signed by Sharjah Private Education Authority with the authorities specialized in monitoring. His Highness pointed out the large number of nurseries in the emirate, which calls for the need to evaluate the curricula and methods they offer that affect children while they are at the beginning of their intellectual formation. His Highness pointed out that government oversight is considered one of the solutions to evaluate the curricula and the subjects taught, as well as the teaching method in these early stages of childhood, and to improve these nurseries so that their evaluation rate is not less than good or above, as happened with the private schools in the past, where their evaluation rose, as the standards of many schools range from acceptable to good.
His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, indicated that His Highness personally follows up daily on everything related to the educational process, asking about nurseries and schools and seeking the assistance of everyone who can help from international bodies so that attention and development are given to the educational process from nursery to university.

"We hope, God willing, from these pioneering children whom we have seen, that we will continue with them and develop a curriculum and program in which high-quality education and excellence will be the basis because we bring experience and knowledge from those who came before us and add to it our personality, language, and Islam." His Highness added.
At the end of his speech, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah extended his thanks and appreciation to Sharjah Private Education Authority and Sharjah Education Academy for their outstanding efforts, as well as the fathers and mothers who cooperate with nurseries and schools in following up on their sons and daughters who are in school because the educational process is a partnership between the home and the school, indicating the beginning of the second phase of the 33 government nurseries that targets all areas of Sharjah.

Upon his arrival, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah unveiled the curtain to mark the opening of the Wasit Nursery building. His Highness toured the nursery facilities, following the progress of the teaching process and the most prominent advanced educational methods used in the nursery. His Highness met with the teaching staff who graduated from Sharjah Education Academy programs.
His Highness visited the classrooms, meeting with the children of Wasit Nursery of all ages, who presented to His Highness a welcome speech in which they expressed their love and gratitude to His Highness for his support of the children by providing innovative educational services that help children enhancing the religious aspect, developing their skills, and correcting their behavior. Some of the nursery's kids presented a segment in which they shared their dreams, ambitions, and the jobs they wish to occupy to serve the nation in the future. Sharjah Nurseries aims to provide a high-quality educational environment that suits the needs of students in the early childhood stage.

The opening of the Wasit Nursery building comes as an extension of the Sharjah Nurseries Project, which works by the vision and directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and aims to establish and prepare integrated educational institutions that receive all children in the emirate and provide them with a distinguished educational experience. The building was designed to meet the highest international security and safety standards and ensure a safe, healthy, and attractive environment that encourages children to explore, play, and learn.
The building contains four infant care rooms, four classrooms, a pediatric clinic, a maternity room, indoor and outdoor play areas, play areas for each class, areas designated for following the educational process inside the classroom, and an indoor gym.
On the sidelines of the opening, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah witnessed the signing of two agreements between Sharjah Private Education Authority, Sharjah Education Academy, and the British Childbase Partnership. The first agreement between Sharjah Education Academy and Childbase Partnership aims to enhance quality and develop the skills and competencies of the educational and administrative staff in Sharjah nurseries to give children an integrated educational, creative experience, in addition to supporting and preparing three orientation nurseries in the Emirate of Sharjah under the supervision of a specialized quality team from the organization and providing a model practice that supports accelerating the quality of service so that these nurseries become centers of excellence and role models.

The second agreement signed between Sharjah Private Education Authority and Childbase Partnership aims to conduct visits to review the improvement in the emirate's 138 government and private nurseries within the Authority's "Itqan" program. These visits are considered a development tool to improve the quality of educational outcomes in nurseries.
