Al Dhaid Club celebrates Ramadan community volleyball tournament

Sharjah 24: Al Dhaid Sports Club concluded a two-week community volleyball tournament, organised as part of the Fifth Ramadan Forum.
The closing ceremony was attended by Rashid Abdullah Howaiden Al Ketbi, Secretary of Al Dhaid Club, in addition to Muhair Obaid Al Khayal Al Tunaiji, Managing Director of the Club, and a number of invitees, club staff and participating teams.

The success of the community volleyball tournament at Al Dhaid Club reflects the importance of the sporting event and the public success that sporting events enjoy during the month of Ramadan, especially since organising such sporting events enhances communication and cohesion among members of society, and encourages practicing sports and adopting a healthy and active lifestyle. 

With the participation and interaction of the fans, the tournament exceeded its sporting and public successes, which contributed to the spirit of positive competition and enhanced sportsmanship among players and fans.

The tournament resulted in the Ali team winning first place, the Al Hafri team taking second place, and the police team taking third place, while the Al Dhaid Club team came in fourth place, and the winning teams were crowned with cups and medals at the closing ceremony.

Salem Mohammed bin Howaiden, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club, stressed the importance of the success of the community volleyball tournament, organised by Al Dhaid Club, in the holy month of Ramadan, noting that the tournament comes as evidence of Al Dhaid Club’s commitment to promoting sports activity and enhancing community communication during this blessed month.

Salem Mohammed bin Howaiden pointed out that such tournaments play an important role in developing and refining the sporting skills of community members, and enhancing the values of cooperation and sportsmanship among young people and participants. 

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club concluded that the club is proud to provide a platform for the community to interact positively and express their sporting talents, and aspires to continue organising similar inspiring events in the future.
