Sharjah beat Dibba Al Hisn 36-25 in handball

Sharjah 24: The men's handball team of Sharjah succeeded in achieving victory against Dibba Al Hisn team with a score of (36-25) in the match that brought the two teams together as part of the tenth round of the preliminary stage of the Strong Hand League for the 2023-2024 season. The match took place on Saturday evening at the Sharjah Sports Club Hall, with the first half of the match ended in favour of Sharjah with a score of (17-14).
With this victory, Sharjah reaches 25 points collected from 8 victories, against Al Jazira both home and away, Al Nasr, Shabab Al Ahli, Al Wasl, Mleiha, Al Ain, and Dibba Al Hisn. 

The team will be guests of Shabab Al Ahli Dubai team, the second-place team in the league standings, for the eleventh round, next Tuesday, March 26.

This edition of the league competition is structured into three stages to determine the champion and the overall ranking of the eight participating teams. It begins with a preliminary round, followed by a semi-final stage where the top four teams compete in two-legged matches. Finally, the competition concludes with the final round between the winners of the semi-finals, known as the Golden Square, while the remaining teams from fifth to eighth place play a single round to determine their positions.

It is worth mentioning that Sharjah has been the league champion for the past 7 consecutive seasons. The Strong Handball League is the fifth event in the schedule of Sharjah Men's Sporting Season 2023-2024, after the team secured the domestic treble comprising the FA Cup, the Emirates Cup, and the "UAE Super Cup," in addition to an external title, the “Bahrain Emirates Handball Super Cup."
