During the meeting, His Highness stressed the importance of using modern technologies, smart systems, and simulation due to their tremendous ability to bring about a radical transformation in the educational system, and provide an interactive educational environment and many opportunities for innovation in training fields.
His Highness, Chairman of SPA board of directors, stressed on specialisations related to cybersecurity and electronic crimes, and the exchange of experiences with public universities in the Emirate of Sharjah, which offer these specialisations in their educational programmes.
During the meeting, the board reviewed the practical measures taken by SPA in the field of applying smart systems and simulation in the educational and training process.
The meeting also discussed the start of a diploma in police sciences to be granted to some special cases of students and members of SPA according to special conditions and standards that will be announced later.
During the meeting, a number of development projects and initiatives were presented, related to the diplomas and professional programmes that the academy will provide, with the aim of providing members of Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC) and the academy with the necessary knowledge, experience and skills to perform their duties in the different specialisations and jobs they occupy.
The board also reviewed the memoranda of understanding concluded between the Academy and international police and security leaders and academies, in the areas of combating drug and terrorism crimes.
The meeting reviewed a number of topics aimed at developing work and improving performance, in accordance with the academy’s ambitious vision and goals, through which it seeks to achieve leadership and sustain outputs with a high degree of efficiency and professionalism in the field of police and security work.
The meeting was attended by Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police and Deputy Chairman of the board; Brigadier Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer; Brigadier Abdullah Ibrahim bin Nassar; Salem Obaid Al Hasan Al Shamsi; Sultan Ali bin Butti Al Muhairi; Sultan Muhammad Obaid Al Hajri; Brigadier Dr. Muhammad Khamis Al Othmani, Director General of the Academy; and Colonel Muhammad Hamad Al Suwaidi, Rapporteur of the board.
