Sharjah 24: Sharjah Media City (Shams) recognised the winners of its media and creative competition, which drew considerable and diverse community involvement, as part of the 8th International Photography Festival "Xposure 2024," which took place at the Expo Centre Sharjah from February 28th to March 5th.

Shams named Mona Al Zahiri as the Best Idea Award winner, Rashid Abdoun as the Best Story Award winner, and Sultan Bin Dafon as the Best Screenplay Award winner in its primary competition, the "Short Film Writing Challenge." 

This competition was based on an emotive image from the festival's events, and 25 people competed for it. In addition, five contestants were chosen to write the screenplay for a short series.

Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City (Shams), presented the prizes to the winners at the festival's conclusion, thanking them for their successes in the Shams awards and emphasising the significance of these honours in recognising, promoting, and refining unique talent.

Over 100 individuals benefited from eight training seminars organised by Shams as part of the festival's activities.
