Sharjah 24: The 8th annual Xposure International Photography Festival (Xposure 2024), organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), has opened its doors and offers a bigger and better trade exhibition floor this year. The Trade Area is home to 18 mega brands this season and is showcasing the latest technologies, along with exclusive deals, for both seasoned and emerging photography professionals, as well as hobbyists.
Bengü Topçu, B2C Regional Marketing Director, Middle East, and Turkey, Canon EMEA, said: “We are excited to be here at Xposure once again this year. At our booth, we are showcasing our EOS R range, which features the latest mirrorless camera collection. Our booth has three sections: one focusing on our expanding EOS R range, the second one concentrates on exhibiting end-to-end kit solutions for vloggers, and lastly, we are showcasing our latest printers.
“We are also focusing on raising awareness among the photographers community on various supportive campaigns such as Canon Club and Canon Academy. We offer education programmes for beginners and advanced users. Our Canon Academy offers a great opportunity for participants to meet other photographers, enthusiasts, and influencers. Canon Club is a place where all photographers can engage with the community.”
Xposure is the biggest photography and imaging show in the MENA region and is well attended by world-class professional photographers, filmmakers, photography enthusiasts, students, and educators from around the world. Mohamed Naushard, Events Manager, Grand Stores, agrees. “This is a great platform to connect with our customers directly. It is a must-attend event for people interested in lenses and imagery. This year, our stand has on display the latest edition of mirrorless cameras and a host of accessories from various brands. Customers can have hands-on experience with different lenses. They can try them. We also have on offer gimbals, stabilizers, batteries, tripods, a range of new lighting equipment which is much more portable and efficient, mics, lenses, underwater cameras, and covers.”
The Future Art Broadcast Trading booth at the Trade Area is inviting visitors to learn about the latest technology available in the field and the range of free workshops they provide. “We offer a range of products including cameras, lenses, lighting, and a range of accessories for cinematography and broadcasting. At Xposure, we are keen to make visitors aware of our free workshops for photography, videography, and cinematography. It is our fourth year at Xposure, and we are very happy with the response. It is a perfect platform to share the space with our competitors and meet our customers.”
Xposure 2024 is also featuring EIZO, a Japanese company that manufactures monitors. “EIZO manufactures monitors for different industries, including the creative industry, medical, ATC, security and surveillance, and maritime. At Xposure, we have on display a monitor for content creators. Our monitors come with a five-year warranty, and we have an auto-calibration sensor, which is unique in the industry. These equipment show the full-colour space, which is an ideal setup for professional photographers,” said Rahul Rathnakaran, Head, Technical Sales, EIZO.
