Sharjah24: The Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami highlighted the council's commitment to strengthening partnerships with international organisations in order to foster the growth and development of young individuals, as well as to enhance the skills and expertise of administrative and technical staff in Sharjah. During his meeting with a delegation from the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees (UANOC), the Secretary-General of the Union, along with other officials, were present.
The delegation included Her Excellency Areej Al Qahtani, Assistant Secretary-General, and His Excellency Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Anzi. Also in attendance were Nabil Mohamed Ashour, Director of Support Services Administration, and Mohamed Obaid Al Hosani, Director of Sports Affairs and Development Administration, along with other department heads of the council.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to collaborate and received an in-depth update on the council's work strategy, activities, and events aimed at implementing the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
The chairman of the council emphasised the emirate's unique position, boasting a wide array of sports and specialised clubs. These clubs are equipped with top-notch facilities, guaranteeing excellence in a variety of games and sports.
He warmly embraced the idea of collaboration at all levels, ensuring the mutual success of both parties in their regional and international sporting endeavours.
After the visit, His Excellency Abdulaziz Al-Enezi, President of the Council, expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and commended the Council's efforts at the emirate level, as well as the capabilities of sports clubs and institutions. He stated that Sharjah has further bolstered the UAE's strong global positioned, thanks to its capabilities and facilities.
