He hailed the university's administration's efforts to achieve one of the university's goals, which is 25% nationalization of the teaching staff by 2025.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed pointed out that the selection of faculty is quality-based, taking into consideration the academic background and experience, a move that will elevate the university's position among others. He stressed that periodic meetings with teaching or administrative staff are merely steps to improve the work style and academic curricula, affecting the education level.
The president recommended paying close attention to students, as they are the essential element in education, in addition to applying modern teaching methods, which contribute to developing and absorbing the abilities and potentials of students.
The university managed to increase the percentage of Emiratisation in the teaching staff, reaching 65 professors.
Dr. Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, praised the efforts of the national faculty and their dedication to their work.
The chancellor concluded by considering the national faculties at the University of Sharjah as a living model for those who share the same profession.
He pointed out that UOS welcomes all citizens with experience and higher educational degrees to work in the academic field and support higher education in the country.
The meeting included a discussion session during which Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed listened to several suggestions and ideas by Emirati faculties, which will contribute to the university's development.
