This came during the speech of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed, which he delivered, on Thursday, at the graduation ceremony of students at the UOS for the fall semester 2023-2024, in the University City Hall.
The graduation ceremony began with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, after which Dr. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah (UOS), delivered a speech in which he extended his thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, for honouring the graduates.
He congratulated the graduates on obtaining their degrees, wishing them success in the future, pointing out that the UOS, with its high-level academic establishment, in accordance with the best university education institutions, has worked to qualify them and provide them with knowledge and skills.
The Chancellor of the UOS called on the graduates to continue the journey of knowledge through postgraduate studies at the university, as the university provided everything they need to be at the forefront of research and science.
Butti Issa Shattaf Al Ali, a graduate of the College of Business Administration, delivered a speech on behalf of his fellow graduates, in which he extended his thanks and gratitude to the President of the UOS, and the parents who contributed to their children’s journey until they graduated and obtained their degrees.
The ceremony also included the recital of a poem by graduate Hammad Abdullah Al Ajmi from the College of Engineering, during which he addressed the insightful vision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in supporting education and raising its status by establishing educational institutions. He also addressed the efforts of the President of the UOS to continue this path.
The President of the UOS handed over the certificates to the 574 graduating students from various bachelor’s programmes, congratulating them on their graduation and wishing them success in their future.
Following the graduation ceremony, the President of the UOS shook hands with top officials of UOS, thanking them for their efforts.
