Sharjah 24: Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, CEO of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), revealed they are participating in the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition “ACRES 2024” with three projects.
CEO of Shurooq confirmed that “ACRES 2024” is one of the most important real estate exhibitions in the emirate, which is growing year after year in terms of the number of participants and visitors, as well as trades.
He added to "Sharjah 24" that the real estate market is an important sector, and supports the gross domestic product of the UAE in general and Sharjah in particular. Moreover, the new legislation in the Emirate of Sharjah regarding freehold ownership contributed to a major leap in this sector. Last year, Sharjah witnessed 18 billion dirhams in trades, expecting the growth to continue in the current year.
Ahmed Al Qaseer pointed out that Shurooq is participating with three different projects, namely the Maryam Island project in partnership with Eagle Hills. So far, 900 apartments have been delivered, and today we presented one of the buildings at the exhibition, expecting it to be completely sold within the four days of the exhibition. There is also the Sustainable City Project, which is a project consisting of 1,200 villas. Two phases have been delivered, and the third phase will be delivered this year, while the fourth and final phase will be delivered next year. 90% of this distinctive, sustainable project has been sold.
He added, “We are happy to launch the official sale of the Ajwan Khorfakkan project, which is a qualitative project on Khorfakkan Beach, consisting of 180 flats and a water park during the first phase, and in the second phase, the Marriott Hotel will be launched. We officially started the sale, and we have witnessed a great demand since this morning. We expect the first two buildings that were launched to be completely sold out during the exhibition.”
