This came during the first meeting for the first regular session of the eleventh legislative term, held by the committee at the Council’s headquarters in Sharjah, on Thursday.
The meeting was chaired by Saeed Matar bin Hamid Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Committee, and was attended by members Rashid Ghanem Al Shamsi, Committee Rapporteur, Abdullah Al Badawi Al Hosani, Abdullah Maaden Al Ketbi, Abdullah Bin Tarish Al Kaabi, Mohammed Al Alawi Al Dhahouri, Hamid Obaid Al Hamoudi.
At the beginning of the meeting, the committee stressed the importance of its role in developing and including visions for important issues in its parliamentary work for the current legislative term, which is in line with SCC vision and goals to provide decent livelihoods for all families in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The committee reviewed proposals regarding its interest in children and families, as they are the basis for building society, by addressing and studying related issues.
In this regard, Saeed Matar bin Hamid Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Family Affairs Committee, pointed out the role of the committee, through its plan and work, in setting frameworks that enhance the system of services provided to all families and all members of society, in the Emirate of Sharjah, within the framework of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.
