This prominent social, sporting and cultural event reflects the partnership and commitment to promoting social, sporting and cultural activities for the benefit of the community.
In the opening speech, the Chairman of the Mleiha Municipal Council stressed the importance of the camp being a golden opportunity for families and youth to spend a vacation full of fun activities and entertainment.
Awad Saeed Hareb Al Ketbi, Director of the Support Services Department at Mleiha Municipality expressed the municipality’s honour to participate in this distinguished event.
The event was attended by Hamad Tamim Al Ketbi, Mleiha Club Board Member and Chairman of the Individual Games Committee; and Muhammad Musabah bin Hudayba Al Ketbi, Supervisor of Individual Games. The event was also attended by a number of sports figures and officials, in addition to a remarkable presence of families.
Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities organised at the camp, such as drawing, cultural competitions, laser shooting, volleyball and chess.
On the occasion of the opening of the Maliha Winter Camp, Sultan Ali Saif Khasuni Al Ketbi expressed his great pleasure and pride in the successful partnership between Mleiha Municipal Council, represented by Mleiha Municipality, BEEAH, and SPGC in organising this distinguished event.
Al Ketbi said that he is pleased to see the opening of Mleiha Winter Camp, which comes within the framework of the ongoing efforts to strengthen community ties and provide entertainment and educational programmes that serve all segments of society. Al Ketbi added that the camp is the result of effective cooperation between different governmental, sports and cultural agencies in Mleiha.
Al Ketbi stressed that the event reflects Mleiha Municipal Council commitment to achieving the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, in promoting sports and cultural activities to achieve communication and enhance social identity in the region.
The Chairman of Mleiha Municipal Council concluded his statement by thanking all the participating parties and partners for their efforts to make this camp an enjoyable and successful experience for all participants, expressing his hope for continued fruitful cooperation in organising upcoming events that enhance communication and work to strengthen the community spirit in Mleiha region.
Muhammad Sultan Al Khassouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Sports Club, praised the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi and stressed the importance of providing a safe and stimulating environment to develop the capabilities of young people. Al Khassouni also extended his thanks to those in charge of the camp and partners for their tireless efforts.
For his part, Musabah Saif Awad Al Ketbi, Director of Mleiha Municipality, said that participating in organising and supporting Mleiha Winter Camp reflects the municipality’s commitment to developing youth and building their skills. He praised the joint efforts between the club and the municipality in reviving this wonderful event and promoting positive interaction in society.
