Sharjah24: To affirm the developmental role of sports in supporting global challenges and in line with Sharjah's commitment to a greener environment, the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCDTA) planted 100 trees in “Al Muntather” protected area on the sidelines of the Sharjah World Championship Week 2023.

The initiative, in partnership with Sharjah's Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA), UIM F1 H2O, Al Batayeh Municipality, and Sharjah Police, aligns with UIM's global reforestation program, saw the participation of Khaled Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of SCTDA; Nicolo Di San Germano, UIM F1 H2O promoter; representatives of Sharjah International Marine Sports Club (SIMC) and drivers participating in the “Grand Prix of Sharjah”.
