Sharjah 24: Portuguese Paulo Bento, the coach of the UAE first national team, described tomorrow’s match against Bahrain as an important confrontation, noting that it is of interest to both teams, because each team will seek to strengthen its position in the eighth group, which they share the lead and each has 3 points, within the joint Asian qualifiers that qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals and the 2027 Asian Cup finals for Group H.
Bento said, during the press conference for the match, that the preparations for the match went well despite the limited time, and that the team is fully prepared to play the important confrontation, adding that the players are fully focused and in high spirits, and will strive to obtain the three points.
Bento spoke about the Bahraini team, pointing out that the competitor includes distinguished players, especially since they are playing on their home soil and among their fans, but he returned and affirmed his full confidence in all the players and their ability to achieve what is required, hoping that the team will achieve the desired result.
He added: "We are seeking to achieve a result that strengthens our position at the top of the group. We analysed our previous match against Nepal to determine all the points and address any negatives that appeared during the match. Our focus is entirely on snatching victory."
